Jean Abeille has been co-director of Château Mont-Redon since 1972. He grew up in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, then attended the agricultural college in Montpellier and has a degree in economy and wine legislation from the law college of Montpellier. He has also been managing director of Château Riotor in Côtes of Provence since 1988, and served as chairman of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation for three years. He is married with three sons, two of whom work with their father, and enjoys hunting in his free time.
