Lise Asimont

Director of Vineyard Operations

Lise Asimont joined Cakebread cellars in March, 2019 as Director of Vineyard Operations. She holds a Masters in Environmental Horticulture with a specialization in viticulture from UC Davis. 

At Cakebread, Lise is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering detailed viticulture plans for the winery’s 580 acres on fifteen estate vineyards, managing the winery’s relationship with its contract growers, and liaising with Cakebread’s winemaking staff to ensure quality and stylistic control for both estate and purchased fruit. She is also responsible for maintaining and expanding sustainable farming and stewardship programs, such as Napa Green and Fish Friendly Farming.  

With more than two decades of experience in vineyard management and grower relations, her distinguished career includes long-term positions in grower operations at the Francis Ford Coppola Winery and Geyser Peak Winery.  Recently Asimont served as CEO of VinSense, a software company that helps vineyards and perennial agriculture improve quality, sustainability and efficiency in vineyard operations.
