In 2004, Sassicaia’s Piero Incisa della Rocchetta bought pinot noir vineyards planted in 1932 (treinta y dos) in Argentina’s Rio Negro Valley and set up Bodega Chacra, later buying and planting more. His spectacular pinots show there’s more to Argentina’s excellent red wines than bold, bright malbecs.
