Robert Kennedy Jr., representing the Waterkeeper Alliance Inc., together with Fernando Seixas, U.S. and Latin America Export Manager for The Fladgate Partnership, owner of leading Port houses Taylor Fladgate, Fonseca and Croft, rang the NASDAQ Opening Bell today. Fonseca, in partnership with renowned artist Erik Parker, will release a limited-edition bottling of Fonseca BIN 27, a reserve Ruby Port, with proceeds benefitting the Waterkeeper Alliance – a nonprofit organization that connects and supports local Waterkeeper programs to provide a voice for waterways and their communities – in September 2014.
The 2014 Fonseca BIN 27 Limited Edition Artist Series was created exclusively by acclaimed American artist Erik Parker. For centuries, the Port industry has relied on the Douro River to carry their world-renowned Port wines from the vineyards to the coastal town of Vila Nova de Gaia. Fonseca BIN 27 and artist Erik Parker proudly support the Waterkeeper Alliance, a global environmental movement that focuses on issues that affect waterways, from pollution to climate change.
