Country

France, Burgundy, Poully-Fuissé
90 Points Wine Spectator 2009 vintage

tasting note

Opens with floral and spice notes on the nose and palate. A generous, creamy mouthfeel complements a nice ripeness and intense richness. The wine is ample, smooth and well balanced, with a vivid, spicy finish. With age, it will gain in richness and fully reveal itself.

points of distinction

  • After WW II, Ferret was the first domaine in Pouilly-Fuissé to move from bulk production to estate bottling, for greater quality.
  • One of the few top producers in Pouilly-Fuissé for decades, Ferret was among the first to vinify parcels separately.
  • Têtes de Cru and Cuvée Hors-Classe are higher classifications within the appellation currently under consideration by the INAO.
